I was originally asked to write this by my friend and author Pamela Sims (an exceptional school teacher.) She pitched it around and it got great reviews, but everyone seemed to get scared off because of the kid factor. (It is about teachers in a junior high school.) But what "they" didn't realize is that the kids are just props. The whole sitcom is just about the teachers, not their students.
What with a librarian who hates having kids in her library because they take her books away. And with the zany Science teacher, the New Age Social Studies teacher, the lustful English teacher, an ex-military Gym teacher, the often inept principal, and his sister-in-law secretary (who really runs the school), you have a formula for zaniness unseen on TV to date.
Okay maybe I exaggerated a little with that last statement, but this show would be great. And all I want to make is a pilot to pitch to the networks. That's why this one's so cheap.
It's a sure winner. I'd back it.
